The journal focuses on the development and empowerment of society through a multidisciplinary approach that integrates various fields of knowledge relevant to Islamic principles and the pursuit of public welfare (maslahah).
The scope of Dedicatio includes Islamic education, Qur’anic learning, Islamic preaching (da’wah) and communication, Islamic economics and community economic empowerment, Islamic law, Islamic community development, Islamic boarding schools (pesantren) and madrasah studies, Islamic literacy, religious moderation, strengthening socio-religious institutions, science and technology based on Islamic perspectives, social welfare, as well as environmental issues and sustainable development within an Islamic framework.

Communicatio: Jurnal Dakwah dan Komunikasi Islam is a scientific publication that aims to facilitate scholarly discussions and publish academic articles on a number of studies in empirical research in the field of Da'wa and Islamic Communication. The main focus and scope of Communicatio is preaching of Islam and Islamic communication. This focus and scope including digital da'wah; islamic journalism; broadcasting media for da'wah; ethics of islamic communication; and da'wah in islamic community. Furthermore, it provides the opportunity for the publication of articles based on inter/multidisciplinary and trans-disciplinary research, and even prioritizes or reserves special space for these. We prioritize articles based on field research (quantitative, qualitative, or mixed-method), systematic literature reviews (SRL), bibliometrics, and meta-analyses, including library research.
