Komunikasi Profetik dalam Pembentukan Karakter Santri: Integrasi Humanisasi, Liberasi, dan Transendensi
Main Article Content
Abstract
Character formation in Islamic boarding schools is shaped by an educational ecology that relies not only on formal rules but also on everyday communication between dormitory administrators and santri. This study examines prophetic communication practices in character formation at the Diniyah Dormitory of Nurul Jadid Islamic Boarding School by using humanization, liberation, and transcendence as the main analytical framework. A qualitative case-study design was employed. Data were generated through observation, purposive interviews with the dormitory leader, administrators, and santri, and documentation of activity schedules, dormitory regulations, and guidance-related records. Data were analyzed through data condensation, data display, and conclusion drawing, while credibility was strengthened through source and technique triangulation. The findings show that humanization is practiced through respectful advice, personal approaches, and non-humiliating correction; liberation operates through educative reprimands, pedagogical sanctions, motivation, and habituation; and transcendence emerges when discipline, responsibility, and manners are linked to worship and accountability before God. These dimensions function as an interconnected mechanism rather than isolated categories: humane relationships create receptivity, educative correction directs behavioral change, and spiritual meaning strengthens self-awareness. The study therefore proposes an interpretive mechanism of prophetic communication based on relationship, correction, meaning-making, role modeling, and habituation to explain the development of discipline, responsibility, courtesy, religious obedience, social care, and self-awareness in the pesantren dormitory context.
